Hi! I’m Veronica,
A social scientist & visual communicator.
I am an American citizen who grew up in the Netherlands and moved to the UK for university. After studying Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA), I moved to Exeter, where I undertook my masters degree in Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture. Following my MSc, I worked as a Research Assistant for six months before becoming a freelance visual communicator. Now, I'm setting off on a new adventure – becoming a PhD student funded by the SWDTP!

Since completing an online Infographics course in 2016, I have enjoyed finding creative ways of presenting data. I am highly skilled at a range of graphic design software packages and love using these skills to increase research impact through engaging and creative visual communications. I'm also a keen photographer, which is why I'm so excited to be studying the visual communication of climate change and future food systems as part of my PhD research.
